This was thrown on a potters wheel, and then a handle pulled from it when it was slightly drier. I design mugs for comfort and durability; the handle is made to comfortably fit the hand and was finished in my ash white glaze, an attractive surface made with wood ash. On the larger size, these comfortably hold 12+ ounces
